Working Locally, Thinking Globally The Autism Society of Minnesota (AuSM®) invites you to be a part of the employment solution by participating in the Autism & Employment Forum 2013. Hosted by Cargill, the event will be held on October 24, 2013. Autism is the fastest growing developmental disorder in Minnesota. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) occurs in 1 in 50 individuals, making autism the fastest growing developmental disorder in Minnesota. With roughly half a million individuals with autism reaching adulthood in the next decade, it is now more important than ever to learn how these individuals with singular focus, loyalty, high productivity and innovative thinking can make a difference in your business.
Successful employees are essential to local and global businesses. The Autism & Employment Forum raises awareness in the business community, ultimately driving initiatives to hire and retain those with autism. The Forum also provides a venue for those with autism to learn the value of their skills when seeking employment. Employers discover how to support employees who bring dedication, productivity and innovation to their corporations.
