AZSC Premier Program Highlights In 2015 AZSC and Chandler Soccer Academy have partnered to provide the AZSC Premier Program. The Premier program has a track record of success, as we assist in bridging athletes, teams and coaches who are looking for the next level and want to transition to competitive play. The goal of the program is to prepare players for future transition into the AZSC Thunder Program, and is aimed at ages U11 and up. We are always on the cutting edge of player development, and we work with the AZSC DOCs to put a plan in place for each component of the game: technical, tactical, psychological and physical. The Premier Program is volunteer Coached and all coaches are required to get their USSF E-License within the first year of coaching in the Premier Program.
AZSC Premier Program Details The Premier program is competitive and will play in the AYSA POSOL league Price: Premier Pricing is around $700 for the season, and this includes: Full Adidas uniform (socks, shorts, practice jersey and 2 game jerseys 2 tournament fees (Additional tournaments will be extra) All training fees All league and club fee All referee and field costs Practice Locations: All practices are on City of Chandler fields (Tumbleweed) Games: o Competitive teams will play in the AYSA run Port-O-Subs open league and Arizona only tournaments o 50% of POSOL games will be on home fields (Chandler or East Gilbert fields), 50% games will be played on opponent’s home fields located anywhere in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. o Competitive and Academy teams will also play in at least two tournaments, but customarily coaches will want to pay for an extra 4 tournaments. (Usually around $170 extra per player at 14 players on the team. This will bring the total cost out of pocket for the 2016-17 season to around $970). This extra cost can be offset by team fundraising and sponsorships. Coaching: Coaches will be required to obtain their USSF National "E" Coaching License within the first year of coaching. And coaches will be provided with coaching clinics as well as assist with AZSC pro-coaches during free skills clinics to the players. Goal Keeper training will be available once a week at a field in Gilbert. o Teams that are promoted into Open League Div. 1 after 2nd season and/or State Leagues will become Thunder teams. Coach must obtain USSF “D” License within 1 year of promotion and receive majority vote from player families to hold on to team, or team goes to pro-coach. Teams promoted to Thunder teams will pay Thunder fee structure o Soccer resources will be provided from Thunder DOCs, Director of Premier and Thunder Goal Keeping Coaches to make sure the needs of the Premier and Thunder programs are met. The following support for the Premier coaches will be provided at a minimum: 1 GK session per week at Chandler or Gilbert facility One coach education night/day every eight weeks at a Chandler facility from August to May will be given by the AZSC DOCs Coaches will also be invited to all AZSC coaches’ meetings and coach education o Volunteer Coach Benefits: Coaches children’s fees Head Coach Children: $0 Assistant Coach Children: $195 Coaches Clothing Head Coach Clothing (yearly): 2-Polo shirts, 2-coach’s shorts & 1-warmup jacket Assistant Coach Clothing (yearly): 1-Polo shirts, 1-coach’s shorts & 1warm-up jacket Coach Education and Certification Costs: Coach education and licensing costs will be reimbursed to the coach upon proof of successful completion and attainment of certification or license.
