1. Fasten and secure waist buckle. Tighten waist belt until you are unable to pinch webbing. 2. Carrier body panel should be on your back, centered to your body. Place one arm in shoulder strap. 3. Hold child securely on your hip. Use the arm that is free from the strap to rotate your child from the hip position into the carrier while using the arm in the strap to secure your child (someone should assist you until you feel comfortable completing this step on your own). 4. Lean forward slightly so that child is resting his weight on your back while child is rotating from the hip position. Keep child secured with your arms at all times. 5. Still leaning forward slightly and supporting child with arm already in shoulder strap, pull the panel up with your free arm. Put on remaining shoulder strap. 6. Buckle chest clip on sternum. Adjust chest strap for comfort, tighten as needed until you are unable to pinch webbing. (TIP: Lower is usually more comfortable.) 7. Child’s bottom should be just above waist belt creating a deep seat with knees above bottom. There should be no bunching in body panel. (TIP: Pulling top of carrier body panel via shoulder straps while gently bouncing will help achieve this.) 8. Adjust shoulder strap webbing by pulling until comfortable for both. Child should be close to your body.
