Block Assembly: 1. Place one 4 ⅞” Fabric H square on top of one 4 ⅞” Fabric B square, right sides together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 1). Sew 1/4” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 1). Cut the two squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2) to make two blocks. Trim blocks to measure 4 ½” square to make two Unit 1’s (Fig. 3). Repeat to make twenty-six Unit 1’s total. Unit 1 make 26 B H Fig. 1

2. Repeat Step 1 using thirteen 4 ⅞” Fabric E squares and thirteen 4 ⅞” Fabric H squares to make twenty-six 4 ½” Unit 2’s (Fig. 4). 3. Repeat Step 1 using forty-eight 2 ⅞” Fabric D squares and forty-eight 2 ⅞” Fabric C squares to make ninety-six 2 ½” Unit 3’s (Fig. 5). 4. 5. Place one 4 ½” Fabric B square on the top left corner of one 8 ½” Fabric A square, right sides together (Fig. 7). Sew across the diagonal of the smaller square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 7). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 8). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle ¼” away from the sewn seam.
