CONGRATULATION GRADUATES!
On Sunday May 14th, a reception was given to our high school and college graduates. Congratulations to all those who are celebrating their graduation this year! Pictured from left to right are: Grace Erickson, Connor Sechler, Anna Meadows, Jodi Meadows, and James Schmitzer. Thanks to all who joined in this celebration!
BAPTISM Brihanna McGlone was baptized on the Warren family farm on Sunday, May 7th. What a blessed sight this is!
BUM Kids End of Year BBQ
BUM Kids had our 2nd Annual End of the Year Picnic to celebrate another wonderful year! We had over 100 people in attendance, and it was a special time of fellowship together. Special thanks to the Methodist Dads, Pastor David and Beth Collum, the YMCA and Chuck Lewis for serving at and contributing to our picnic. We are grateful for the continued love and support from BUMC. BUM Kids begins again September 5th. Blessings, Amanda Wright, Director, BUM Kids
BACK TO SCHOOL EXTRAVAGANZA Preparations are underway for the 4th annual Back To School Extravaganza to be held at our church on August 5th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Plans are being made to serve approximately 600 Polk County children and youth this year. This year the committee is adding hygiene products to their donation list. They will be asking for regular size bottles of shampoo, soap/body wash and deodorant. They have visited with teachers and feel this is a real need along with school supplies. The BUMC Outreach Committee would like to issue a challenge to our church members to donate the needed shampoo. We will have a tub set up on Sunday mornings beginning June 4th for donated bottles. It is hoped when you buy a bottle for yourself, you will buy an extra bottle to donate. Everyone will be kept up to date on the progress of how many bottles. We will need volunteers to assist in this important event on August 5th as well. Thanks to everyone for their support.
CAMP WORK DAYS IN ACTION!
Kids working hard to help pay their way to Summer Camp is a great thing to see! Thanks to everyone who helped to make our Camp Work Days possible. Because of the great generosity of many and the willingness of our kids to work, we will be sending 14 children and youth to camp this summer! God has blessed our church with generous, caring people who give their time and resources to make so many blessings come to life.
BUM KIDS MESSY CAMP
BUM Kids Messy Camp was a great success! As you can see, the kiddos had a great time of learning and fellowship outdoors. Thanks to all who made the blessed week so enjoyable for all.
End of School BBQ
The End of School BBQ was a great blessing for all who attended! Many came and enjoyed the great food and fellowship.
Bolivar UMW Spring Luncheon The Bolivar United Methodist Women Luncheon will be held at the Church House in Halfway, MO on Wednesday, June 21st at noon. Be at the church at 11:30 a.m. to join the carpool. If you would like to attend, you may register and pay ($13.00) in the church office by noon on Friday, June 17th. We hope to see you there!
The Annual NOW CIRCLE May Outing 19 of our NOW members enjoyed brunch and a history lesson & tour of the Elfindale Mansion in Springfield. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and bonding. We pray more join in this wonderful ministry! Women’s Game Day… All women are invited to Women’s Game Day that will be held in the Ministries Building on the first Monday of every month from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. Come join the fun!
