Children’s Ministries Available The following ministries are available during AM worship for those with children: Infant I Nursery (Ages Birth-17 mos.) – Room # 106 Toddlers Class (Ages 18-35 mos.) – Room # 104 PreK-K (Children I) (3-5 yrs) – Room # 103 Junior Church (Ages 6-10) – Room # 101 (*Children ages 6 – 10 meet in the sanctuary for our Worship Gathering and are dismissed early for Junior Church.)

Help Needed for Meals for Celebrate Recovery Meetings If you would like to help with a meal for a Celebrate Recovery Meeting on one of the following evenings, please sign the sheet on the bulletin board: Thurs. evenings: July 6th or July 20th . If you have questions, please call the church office. This Thurs. evening, our Joymakers (Seniors) Sunday School Class will be providing the meal for Celebrate Recovery at Southside Christian Church. Capital Campaign Rally Day – NEXT Sun., June 25 Next Sunday is our Capital Campaign “Rally Day”! We will begin with a Potluck Brunch at 9:30 a.m. (until 10:15 a.m.). Bring your favorite breakfast/brunch dish and come and enjoy some good food and fellowship. Drinks will be provided by the church. There will be no Sunday School. AM Worship will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Door Prizes for Capital Campaign Rally Day Door prizes are a special part of our “Rally Day” celebrations. If you would like to donate an item(s) for a door prize, there is a sign-up sheet posted on the bulletin board.

Vacation Bible School – June 25 - 29

Our VBS begins next Sun. evening!! Sun., June 25 – Thurs., June 29 - 6:15 – 8:45 PM. Age 3 – Grade 6 The theme will be “Operation Arctic – Exploring the Coolest Book on the Planet”. Visit the VBS table in the rear entrance. Lots of volunteers are needed! You may register your child(ren) at the table or you may register on our church website. Flyers are available for taking to business places and sharing with friends/family/neighbors, etc. Please take the flyer included in today’s bulletin to a child or children you’re inviting to VBS!

Items Needed for Making Snacks for VBS A list of items needed for making VBS snacks is posted on the bulletin board if you’d like to help by bringing some of these. We still have a few items that haven’t been signed up for.

Backyard Ministries Community Outreach Event

If you would like to help with an occasional meal during the week for Sis. Margaret Montgomery, a sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board. She certainly appreciates all visits and meals.

We’re planning another Community Outreach Event for Fri. evening, July 14 from 7 – 9pm. Backyard Ministries will bring their inflatables and most of the event will be outside. We do plan to again give our guests a gift bag of toiletry/hygiene items (one per family) and we’re asking for weekly items. Each of the items we’re asking for can be purchased for $1 each or less if you shop at Dollar Tree or one of the other discount stores. A collection box is set up in the gym. This week’s item: Toothpaste In addition to toiletries, we’re also collecting new or gently used children’s clothing - sizes: newborn – 16 to give to families attending the outreach event. There are collection boxes for girls’ and boys’ clothing in the gym.

June Items for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes:

Sunglasses, Flip Flops, Tshirts or Tanks (Boys or Girls – S-L), Caps for Boys or Girls A collection tote is available in the gym. Where do you stand with your 2017 Building Fund pledge? We have received 91.66% of the $62,805 pledges as of May 31, 2017. With your help we can get to 100% of our goal. Please make a sincere effort to pay your pledge by June 30, 2017. Special Thanks!  Last Sunday’s love offering for the Doniphan, Missouri church was $1,302.00.

 Thanks to everyone who helped with the funeral meal on Wednesday for Sis. Ruth Young’s family. This was certainly appreciated by all her family.
