After the game, talk to Scorekeeper to transfer the total pitch count for each pitcher to the Game Sheet. This sheet remains in the Pitch Count Binder at the field.
Key Pitch Count Rules The manager must remove the pitcher when pitcher reaches the limit for his/her age group as noted below: League Age 11 - 12: 85 pitches per day League Age 9 - 10: 75 pitches per day League Age 7 - 8: 50 pitches per day Exception: If a pitcher reaches the limit while facing a batter, the pitcher may continue to pitch through that player's at-bat. Other information: Pitch counter must provide the current pitch count when requested by either manager or umpire. Pitch counter should inform the umpire when a pitcher has delivered the maximum limit of pitches for the game. The manager is responsible for knowing when his/her pitcher must be removed. A pitcher who delivers 41 or more pitches in a game cannot play catcher for the remainder of that day.
