BE Generous Power Verse …And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” –Acts 20:35 Lesson Jesus is the greatest Christmas Gift the world has ever known, and God gave Him especially for you. Glossary:
Cloaking Device – Rupert’s cloaking device gives him the ability to make himself invisible to the human eye. When traveling through Bible stories, he can aid the Genesis Exploration Squad without being seen. Swaddling Cloths – Swaddling cloths were narrow strips of material used to wrap up a newborn baby. The cloth kept the baby warm and also made him or her feel safe. After Jesus was born, Mary wrapped Him up in swaddling cloths and then laid Him in a manger. Manger – A manger is a box used to feed animals, such as horses or cattle, in a barn or stable. A manger was all that was available to Mary and Joseph when they needed a bed for baby Jesus.
After listening to the episode, “Be Generous,” talk over these questions with your family or friends: 1. God gave us the best gift we could ever receive. What (or Who) is that gift? Compared to the other gifts you will receive this Christmas, share why this is the greatest gift of all. 2. Jesus said, “It is better to give than to receive.” What do you think He meant when He said this? Talk about some ways you can give to others this Christmas. 3. Make a list of your family and friends who don’t know Jesus. How can you share the true meaning of Christmas with them?
