NAME CHANGE INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS: Today after 2nd Service, Great Room

Mon, Mar 13 from 6-7pm, Gathering Area A time to learn and ask questions about the church name change process and selection. DISCOVER YOUR PLACE ‘Discover Your Place’ (DYP) is a two-week course that equips you and others to learn about the importance of serving and how God has uniquely designed each of us to serve. The goal of this class is to understand ourselves and others better as we serve. Part 1: Sun, Mar 19, 5:30-8pm Part 2: Sun, Mar 26, 5:30-8pm in Rm 101. Please email Conni, [email protected] by Sun, March 12. BAPTISM Sunday, Mar 26 Have you invited Christ into your life as your Lord and Savior, but have never experienced the blessing of water baptism? Contact the church office, 456-5507, or one of the Pastors no later than Wed, Mar 22.

BENEVOLENCE DESIGNATED FUND ECOB has a Benevolence Fund which is used at the discretion of the Deacon Team. To determine the acceptability of the need there are qualifications to be met as well as an interview process. The goal of the Benevolence Designated Fund is to provide an opportunity for the church family to share with people in our congregation that have had a catastrophic event, at no fault of their own, causing them to experience a large financial need. Gifts are to be above and beyond your church tithe, a sacrificial gift. Maybe you give up a meal in a restaurant and give the cost of that meal to the Benevolence Fund. Gifts can be given through the offering by writing “Benevolence” on a line that reads Other. Or you can make a gift to the Benevolence Fund through Simplegive. This will count on your end-of-the-year Financial Statement as a deductible gift.

MISSION AND VALUES Our desire at Eaton Church of the Brethren is to enable every person to experience the living Christ in life transforming ways. In continuing the mission Jesus placed before His followers when He commanded them, and us, to go and make disciples, we are dedicated to four intrinsic values. These ongoing values of Experience, Connect, Grow, and Impact are interwoven and cannot be taken singly but as a four-fold approach to our call as a local expression of Christ's worldwide church.
