Fabric Split Star (fabric A, 8" x 20" strip; fabric C, 8" x 20" strip; background 5"x 42" strip; You want a strong contrast between fabrics A and C and the background.) Crazy 8 Star (background, 5" x 42" strip; star, variety of scraps 2" wide and 2 - 3" long). Tools/equipment Sewing machine (top stitch needle 80/12; thread compatible with fabric; ¼ in. presser foot). Thread, compatible with fabric. Ruler, 6" x 12"; add-a-quarter (optional). Pins, paper scissors, fabric glue stick(optional), basic sewing supplies. Before Class Cut fabric A into eight 2" x 8" rectangles Cut fabric C into eight 2" x 8" rectangles Cut background fabric into four 3 3/8" squares. Cut squares once diagonally. Cut background fabric into four 4 3/8" squares. Cut squares once diagonally.
