BIG WEST BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 30th Annual Big West Women’s Basketball Tournament March 12-13, 2013 • Bren Events Center, UC Irvine • Irvine, Calif. March 15-16, 2013 • Honda Center • Anaheim, Calif.
The Big West Conference Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament takes place at Honda Center for the third straight year. Honda Center and the Big West have teamed up for “March Madness” and “The Road To The Final Four” on numerous occasions including men’s basketball regionals in 1998, 2001, 2003 and 2011, and the first and second rounds in 2008. The first two rounds of the women’s tournament take place on the UC Irvine campus at the Bren Events Center. First round games on Tuesday, March 12 will only include teams seeded No. 5 to 8. Winners on Tuesday will advance to play seeds Nos. 3 and No. 4 on Wednesday. The tournament shifts to Honda Center for the semifinals on Friday, March 15 when the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds take on the two quarterfinal winners. FIrst round through semifinal games will all be broadcast on BigWest.TV. All games involving Hawai’i prior to the championship game will also be broadcast on Oceanic Time Warner Cable. The championship game is slated for Saturday, March 16 on FSN West/Prime Ticket.
