Location

Bloomsburg is located 75 miles from the PA/NJ border on Rt 80. From I-80: take exit 236 to Rt. 487 south. After passing Central Road, go to the second traffic light (Country Club Drive) - turn right to the athletic fields, turn left for the dormitories. From southeast: PA turnpike north to Rt. 80 west - then follow above directions. From south/west: Rt. 11 north to Bloomsburg. Proceed up the Main Street of town turn left to follow Rt. 487 North to traffic light (Country Club Drive) - turn right for dormitories, left for fields.

BU Huskies Women’s Soccer

The Bloomsburg University Women’s Soccer Team has been one of the most nationally competitive teams since its inception in 1990. In the history of the program, the team has won four conference championships, and made eight NCAA tournament appearances including two trips to the 2nd round and two trips to the Sweet 16. The Huskies compete in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) which is widely regarded as a top three conferences nationally in Division II.

Tournament Info The Bloomsburg University Women’s Soccer Team is proud to introduce the 3rd Annual 3v3 Plus a Husky Tournament on Sunday, August 30, 2015. Each 3v3 team entered will have the opportunity to be coached or assisted by a current women’s soccer player. All of the proceeds will go to benefit Women’s Athletics at Bloomsburg University. So come out and get an opportunity for some great competition and fun as well as a chance to get to know and be coached by a Husky! Each member of the championship team will receive a 3v3 Plus a Husky Championship medal. All games will be played on the beautiful turf/grass varsity fields on Bloomsburg University’s campus. Space is limited so please reserve your spot soon. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Tournament Details -There will be 12-minute halves with two-minute halftime -No more than three (3) players per team on the field at one time -Substitutions can occur at any stoppage -There are no goalkeepers- no player may use her hands -Fouls and restarts (including ball from out of bounds will result with an indirect free kick. -Intentional fouls meant to stop a goal from being scored, i.e. intentional handball, will result in a penalty kick. A penalty kick is and undefended free kick taken from any spot along the mid-line -Goal kicks are taken from end-line -Teams are required to wear like colored shirts. Colored vests will be provided in case of color conflict -Shin guards are required -Fall 2015 age group will define age group for event

Championship Rules Champions for each age group will be given a championship medal. Age groups will be decided by number of teams entered -There will be a small goal arc around each goal. No player may be allowed in the arc at any time during play -No player may be allowed to score from their respective team’s defensive half of the field -Teams are awarded 3 points for a win and 1 point for a tie -The team with the most points after 4 games is the champion

Tiebreakers -Head-to-Head -Total Goals Scored -Sudden victory playoff (if other tie breakers fail to determine champ)

The Fields Dimensions: Each field will be played on turf/grass and will be 20 yards wide by 35 yards long. Goals: Goals will be 4 foot pop-up goals Game balls: Each team needs to bring their own ball. Teams: Each team can register up to five players. Each team will be guaranteed three games with the potential for more depending on the number of teams entered. Games to be played in the morning.
