Bobbi Finley’s Block Carrier
As you will recall, last year’s speaker co-authored the book, Tile Quilt Revival from C&T Publishing. A friend of Bobbi’s designed this block carrier so that she can more easily corral block pieces when she’s on the road teaching. Directions: 20” x 34” focus fabric 20” x 34” preshrunk flannel 1. Place wrong sides together. 112” binding in contrasting fabric 2. Sew on binding. 1 yard 1/2” wide ribbon 3. Tie a bow in the center of the ribbon leaving long tails. 1/2” button 4. With the button on the flannel and the bow on the focus fabric, sew through all layers to secure the bow as shown in the photo. Two pieces 4” x 4” focus fabric 20” x 2” cardboard mailing tube Glue for fabric 5. Glue the 4-inch fabric pieces to cover ends of mailing tube. 6. Roll the cover around the tube and hand-stitch to secure.
