Bolivia M ururata a nd P ico Schulze, C ordillera R eal. Y ugoslavs from Slovenia clim bed in the C ordillera R eal from M ay 9 to 3 1. A side from clim bs on H uayna Potosí and Illim ani, they made three new routes. O n M ay 18, Filip B ertoncelj, B ojan Počkar, B ojan Pograjc and Jernej Stritih took ten hours to clim b the couloir on the south face o f M ururata (5868 m eters, 19,253 feet). The ascent rose for 540 m eters from the glacier to a point ju st to the left o f the sum m it. T w o pitches were o f 90° and m uch was betw een 60° and 70°. They m ade tw o new routes on Pico Schulze (5830 m eters, 19,128 feet). On M ay 26, Pograjc and Poč kar clim bed the southeast face, w hile Stritih and M atjaž V rtovec clim bed the couloir in the southw est face. The latter route was extrem ely difficult.
