New Word is - Special Word Plot Summary Sis the Snake is asleep on a hollow log when Mit the Chimp awakens her. Mit has an apple which he teases Sis with and then the chase begins. Over and through the hollow log they both go until Sis is tangled in a knot. Mit kindly untangles her and then they sit together sharing the apple. Story Questions (Comprehension) 1. page 3: What does Mit have that Sis wants? 2. page 6: Where is Mit? 3. page 7: Where is Sis? 4. pages 9-10: What has happened to Sis? 5. page 13: What is Mit doing with the apple?

Each new word throughout the program is repeated at least five times in the book in which it first appears and five more times in the next ten books.
