PRESENTERS

Rabbi Chaim Urbach is currently the leader of Congregation Yeshuat Tsion, in Denver, Colo. He received an M.A. in Biblical Studies with New Testament concentration from Denver Seminary in 1991. Rabbi Urbach was one of the founding elders of congregation Ro’eh Yisrael in Denver, Colo. He has served as officer of several Messianic Jewish organizations and has taught extensively in Messianic and Protestant congregational settings. Dr. Michael Rydelnik is Professor of Jewish Studies at the Moody Bible Institute where he has taught since 1994. He received a Doctor of Missiology (Intercultural Studies) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and an M.A. in Theology (NT Literatury and Exegesis) from Dallas Theological Seminary. The son of Holocaust survivors, he was raised in an Orthodox Jewish home in Brooklyn, N.Y. He is the author of several books and essays. Dr. John Fischer received a Ph.D. in Education/ Religion from the University of south Florida, and a Th.D. in Judaic Studies from the Graduate School of Theology. Dr. Fisher is the current Rabbi of Congregation Ohr Chadash, the Rosh Yeshiva (principal) of Netzer David Yeshiva, and the Academic Vice President and Judaic Studies Department Chair at St. Petersburg Theological Seminary, St. Petersburg, Fla. He is the author and editor of numerous publications.

Dr. Jeffrey Feinberg received his Ph.D. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Theological Education. He is currently a leader of congregation Etz Chaim, Buffalo, N.Y., and has served as the Midwest Regional Director of the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations. Dr. Feinberg has authored several books and articles. Dr. Craig Blomberg is the Distinguished Professor of New Testament at Denver Seminary. Dr. Blomberg completed his Ph.D. in New Testament at Aberdeen University in Scotland. He received an M.A. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a B.A. from Augustana College. In addition to writing numerous articles in professional journals, multi-author works and dictionaries or encyclopedias, he has authored or edited 15 books. Dr. Hélène Dallaire is Associate Professor of Old Testament at Denver Seminary. She is an ordained minister with the Evangelical Church Alliance. Dr. Dallaire earned a Ph.D. and an M.Phil. in Hebrew and Cognate Studies from Hebrew Union College—Jewish Institute of Religion, an M.A. in biblical literature from Oral Roberts University, and a B.A. in psychology from Ottawa University. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 12 6 pm Registration and Reception 6:45 pm Welcome and Introduction Dr. Hélène Dallaire 7 pm Dr. Michael Rydelnik “The Jewish Believers’ Relationship to the Church and Israel” In this session, Dr. Rydelnik will explore Covenant and Dispensational theologies as they relate to the Jewish believer. He will then investigate what Scripture has to say about the Jewish believers’ relationships to both the Church and to Israel. 8 pm Dr. Craig Blomberg “Freedom from the Law only for Gentiles? A Nonsupersessionist Alternative to Mark Kinzer’s ‘PostMissionary Messianic Judaism’” In the wake of the popular idea that the Mosaic covenant remains in effect for ethnic Jews, Dr. Blomberg will examine what the New Testament has to say on the topic.

9 am Rabbi Chaim Urbach “Zionism: a Messianic Jewish View” Rabbi Urbach will explore the answers to questions such as: Is Zionism a form of racism? Is Israel’s continued colonization of Palestinian land the primary obstacle to a comprehensive peace agreement in the Holy Land? Is the return of Jews to Israel in line with

a biblical prophecy, and is it necessary for Yeshua to return to Earth as its king? 10 am Dr. Jeffrey Feinberg “Messianic Jewish Education in a New Covenant Community” In this presentation, Dr. Feinberg attempts to frame the general set of beliefs and lifestyle practices that will assure continuity to a third-generation of Messianic Jewish households in New Covenant communities. 11 am Break 11:30 am Dr. John Fischer “Jesus through Jewish Eyes: a Rabbi examines the life and teachings of Jesus” Dr. Fischer examines the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth within his Jewish context, and from a Jewish perspective. 12:30 pm Lunch 1:30 pm Dr. Hélène Dallaire “Jewish & Gentile Believers: 2000 Years of History” In this presentation, Dr. Dallaire will examine the evidence that confirms the existence of a believing Jewish community.
