Bryan County Middle School Washington D.C. Adventure! March 29-April 1, 2017 Trip #10511 This exciting four-day trip to Washington DC extends the classroom education allowing students the opportunity to see, touch and feel our nation’s Capital. Students will travel by modern motor coach, spend 3 nights in first class accommodations, and enjoy the sights of the city. Tours of the city will include: the three branches of Government, the Smithsonian American History and Air and Space Museums, the Great Monuments, Arlington Cemetery and more! Breakfast and dinner daily coupled with evening activities make this inclusive package a chance of a lifetime for students. The following information details the trip. SCHEDULE March 29 Morning departure from the school and travel to Washington. Hotel check-in is followed by an orientation tour including a stop at the Jefferson Memorial and the MLK Memorial. Dinner is included at Pentagon City Mall before returning to the hotel. March 30 Breakfast and we have a full day to tour the city: The White House, Capitol Hill (the Supreme Court, US Capitol and Library of Congress), the Vietnam Memorial and the WWII Memorial. Lunch on your own followed by a visit to the US Holocaust Museum Memorial. Next a visit to the National Archives. Dinner included tonight, followed by an Illumination Tour, including stops at the Iwo Jima Marine Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Franklin Roosevelt Monument. March 31 Breakfast and our tours continue. We visit Arlington National Cemetery for the “Changing of the Guard” at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and a stop at JFK’s gravesite. See the flags of the world as you drive down Embassy Row to the National Cathedral, the sixth largest Gothic Cathedral in the world that took over 80 years to construct. Lunch on your own followed by an afternoon at the Smithsonian: the American History Museum, Natural History, Air & Space Museum. Dinner and an evening activity included tonight. April 1 Breakfast and hotel check out this morning. Morning tour of Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington. Depart for home. A lunch break will be scheduled (on your own). If a trip is cancelled within 3 days of the tour 50% of the trip cost is non-refundable. All other payments will be refunded through Kelly Tours should a student have to cancel for any reason. Written notice must be sent to notify Kelly Tours of cancellation and the refund will be mailed out. GENERAL INFORMATION A final letter will be sent to all participants highlighting departure and return times, important phone numbers and arrangements, what to bring and an updated schedule of the trip. WAIT LISTS Kelly Tours buses accommodate 56 passengers (including the chaperones and escort). Availability on all motor coach tours is based on a first come first serve basis. If space is not available, the traveler will be put on a waiting list. An additional bus may be added to the trip (at the discretion of the school and Kelly Tours) if the waiting list exceeds 20 people by the final payment date. Sign-ups with initial or full payment made after the final payment date will not be guaranteed space on the trip, and, in most cases, will not be processed. All participants and parents or guardians of participants under age 18 must sign this form. I understand and agree that this Agreement shall constitute a binding contract between the undersigned and Kelly Tours, Inc. which for this contract includes its officers, directors, shareholders and employees, (collectively, “Kelly”). Except for certain buses and vans, Kelly does not own or operate any entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your program, including, for example, arrangements
for or ownership or control over lodging facilities, airline, vessel, bus or other transportation companies, local ground operators, visa processing services, providers or organizers of optional excursions, food service of any kind or entertainment providers, etc. All such persons and entities are independent contractors. As a result, Kelly is not liable for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any such person or entity, or of any third party. Without limitation, Kelly is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to person or property, death, delay or inconvenience in connection with the provision of any goods or services occasioned by or resulting from, but not limited to, acts of God, force majeure, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, strikes or other labor activities, criminal, terrorist or threatened terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, structural or other defective conditions in lodging facilities (or in any heating, plumbing, electrical or structural problem therein), mechanical or other failure of airplanes or other means of transportation or for any failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart timely, dangers associated with animals, sanitation problems, food poisoning, epidemics or the threat thereof, disease, lack of, access to or quality of medical care, difficulty in evacuation in case of a medical or other emergency, or for any other cause beyond the direct control of Kelly. COMPUSLORY ARBITRATION. Upon making payment for this trip, I agree that any dispute concerning, relating, or referring to this contract, the brochure, or any other literature concerning my program, or the program itself shall be resolved exclusively by binding arbitration in Savannah, Georgia, according to the then existing commercial rules of the American Arbitration Association.
