BSS - Basic Sewing Supplies 

Sewing machine in good working condition o Remember our power cord, foot petal, and manual o Please clean and oil your machine before class. Sewing machine feet appropriate to the type of sewing you will be doing o (1/4" foot, zig-zag edge stitch, walking foot, etc.) Rotary cutter and ruler o We suggest you bring a 6 ½” x 24 ½” or the specific ruler listed in your class supply list. Cutting mat (we have mats at the store if you don’t want to transport your mat) Sewing machine needles Thread o A neutral color like medium beige or gray is a safe color to bring instructed At least two pre-wound bobbins Seam ripper Straight pins Scissors (for thread and fabric) Thimble Fabric marking pen/pencil Paper and pencil for notes Anything else you use all the time as you sew Additional supplies may be listed in your specific class supply list
