Sustainable Jersey Application 2014

Name of Action: Bulky Rigid Plastics Recycling

The Borough of Rutherford along with it’s recycling contractor Green Sky, accepts for recycling bulky rigid plastics such as molded lawn chairs, toys, buckets and other bulky non food containers. The collection of these recyclables occurs weekly and can also be dropped off at either the DPW during the week, or the recycling depot on Saturdays. Residents are informed of what can be recycled as part of the annual mailing with trash/recycling and vegetation collection schedules. The information is also on the Borough website, and the recycling coordinator participates in several functions around town answering questions about recycling in the Borough. http://rutherford-nj.com/government/departments/public-works/recycling-information/
