Steep-sided canyons and mountain peaks, composed of Miocene age volcanic lava flows and ash-fall tuffs are densely covered with pinion pine, Utah juniper, manzanita, and scrub oak. The numerous canyons on the property contain several springs and ponds and are deeply entrenched and vegetated. Elk, mule deer, bear, cougars, fox and turkeys reside on the property.
