WRESTLING REPORT JOHN ANDERSON, A.D. [email protected] The 2013-2014 season came to an end this past Saturday at the banquet at Silver Lake Country Club. Robbie Precin won the Pryor Award and Timmy Houston won the Shine Award. Athletic Director, John Anderson introduced Mickey Griffin as the new head coach for the 2014-2015 Wrestling Season. Tim Houston will remain on the staff as an assistant coach. This will allow Tim to follow his son’s wrestling career at Carl Sandburg. This was another banner year for the Tinley Park Bulldogs Wrestling Club. We have added 2 more state champions to our list and another 22 state place finishers. Way to go Bulldogs!!

LACROSSE NEWS Our spring season is in full swing. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and we had our first official game against Oak Forest cancelled. However, the weather did hold up for our games on Sunday against Chesterton and St. Rita. We played Chesterton at Freedom Field for all age groups and our U13 & U15 teams played St. Rita at Andrew. We had mixed results, but overall, the teams at all levels played extremely well. I would like to especially mention our first U15 team. They won their first game in their first season. Congratulations! For many first year players, this was their first experience in a game and our offseason work has definitely paid off. We show a lot of promise and we will only improve from here. We are proud of all of our Bulldog Lacrosse players!! For the following tournaments, please make sure you login into your Shutterfly account and mark your availability. We will be using that list to build our roster so it is important that you commit as early as possible. FOOTBALL
It’s not too late!!! You can still register your child for football!! We will take registrations for football at our monthly board meetings, which are held on the third Wednesday of every month. We will only do registrations from 6:00-6:45 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: If you wait until the first day of camp to sign up, there will be a $50 late fee. NO EXCEPTIONS. This year, conditioning camp will be held July 28-31. Equipment hand out will take place on Saturday, August 2nd. Everyone will be required to give a $300 deposit check for equipment. No exceptions. Our first day of practice in full pads will take place on August 4th. Good luck in your spring/summer sports! 2
CHEER NEWS DAWN MICHALEK, A.D. [email protected] On Saturday, April 5th, our Varsity Cheer Squad performed at Discover Tinley! They did a great job! Thank you to everyone who came out to support us. The 2014 Cheer Season will officially begin on July 1st. Please watch out for emails from your coaches regarding the upcoming apparel fitting.

SUPPORT YOUR ORGANIZATION Attend a General Meeting. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. (Meetings are held at 8:00 during the months of August, September, and October.) There is no meeting in December.
