To Our Guests We are excited that you have chosen to worship with us today. We hope that you find our fellowship warm and friendly, the message meaningful and practical, and that you encounter God in a life-transforming way. Please take a moment and fill out the Guest Card located in the seat in front of you and place it in the offering bag as it is passed. At the conclusion of the service take the card to the Welcome Counter in the foyer for a special “Thank you” gift. As our guest, we do not want you to feel obligated to participate in the offering unless you have a desire to; this is how those who call El Camino Baptist their church home support its ministries. If you have children with you, we encourage you to take advantage of our great preschool and children’s worship. This will free you and others to give full attention to worship and God’s Word — and your kid (s) will have a great time. See someone from Guest Services for assistance.

The California Baptist Convention has designated October as Pastor Appreciation month which encourages us to guard ourselves from taking God's servants for granted. As the scriptures say, "Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the
Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance. Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work." 1Thes 5:12-13 "In the same way, the Lord ordered that those who preach the Good News should be supported by those who benefit from it." 1 Cor 9:14 God will bless a church that takes care of their pastors and ministers. Your Pastors and ministers are servants of God and the church and it’s their focus to be obedient to God’s calling in their lives; and that is a life of sacrifice. Your pastors and ministers, including their spouses, whole-heartedly put their whole life into the church – serving and ministering. And they trust God and the church to take care of their needs so their focus is not distracted by the cares of the world. Prayerfully consider to fully understand the needs of your pastors and ministers and take care of them.
3. I will only accept income that I have _____________________ earned. (Prov 10:2a)
4. I will live ___________________________ in thought and deed. (Prov 10:2b) 5. I will __________________ in God’s righteousness. (Prov 10:3) 6. 8. I will expect________________ as I continue to live righteously. Pray regularly for your pastors and ministers Pray for their preaching, teaching and leading. Pray for their families and the demands that church life has on them. Pray for God’s protection against temptation and the wiles of the Devil who would like to destroy their ministry. Pray for physical and mental health that they may minister with God’s wisdom and discernment and make wise and sound decisions. Take up a special love offering to be divided among the staff. Send a gift card or cards & letters of appreciation. Give them a hug and a pat on the back. Take them out to lunch or dinner. Spend time talking to them and getting to know them and their family. Involve them in your family activities.

A Big ShOUt OuT to Norma Wood our volunteer secretary for her faithful service helping with administrative work in our church office. She is taking some time off to visit family in Pennsylvania Oct 13-20. Roena Callison will be helping in the office during her absence.
