CABINET/SWIPE ON/OFF SENSOR SWITCH CODE: SE40516 Installation instructions this product can be installed two ways: Ensure the mains power is disconnected prior to commencing installation. Method 1 - Recessing: 1. Drill a hole with a diametre of 14.5mm. 2. Attach the plastic accessory included onto the top of the fitting to make the fitting suitable to be recessed. 3. Ensure the input cable passes through the installation hole. Method 2 - Surface Mounting: 1. Use the screws and/or the double sided adhesive pad included to fix the fitting to the installation surface. 2. Ensure the input and output cables are kept close to the installation surface.
This unit has 2 functions; Bistable & Monostable To change the function of the sensor press the 'mode change button' for more than 3 seconds. This should be done whilst the unit is connected to the mains power.
The above diagram shows how the sensor is integrated into your lighting run. 1. Connect the output wire into the distributor block on the driver. 2. Connect the input wire to the 6 way distributor block provided with the sensor. 3. All lights are to be connected to the remaining 5 ports on the block to which the sensor is connected.

The button can be found on the back of the fitting (please see diagram below). Bistable function: When the target object is in the detecting range once, the lamp switches off (for example the swipe of hand past the sensor). When the target object is in the detecting range a second time, the lamp will be switch on. The unit will continue to work in such a cycle. Continued operation won’t cause unwanted action. Detection range in this mode: Effective range: ≤5cm Ineffective range: ≥16cm The actual detection range is between 5cm and 16cm according to different sensors. f the IR sensor detector is blocked by other non transparent objects, there will be different Max. detecting distance, for instance; the detecting distance caused by a human hand is about 5cm.
Monostable function: When the target object is in the detecting range, the lamp switches off. When the target object is out of the detecting range, the lamp switches on (for example a cabinet door infront of the sensor). Continued operation won’t cause unwanted action.
Maintenance & Care • Ensure that the power is disconnected prior to cleaning. • To keep the finish of this product, wipe over with soft cloth periodically. • Do not use harsh chemical solvents, it may dis-colour or damage the finish.
