The Calumet Hockey Association and Calumet Township (the owner of the Calumet Colosseum) are working together to install new hockey boards and glass. The anticipated project cost is $168,000, and Calumet Township has been awarded two Michigan DNR Recreation Passport Grants totaling $90,000. The catch is the Township MUST raise $78,000 in local matching funds and complete the project before the $90,000 in grant funds can be distributed. We are seeking your help in raising the local matching funds and completing these improvements to the Colosseum. Due to the terms of the Grant Agreement, the new boards and glass must be installed prior to the start of the 2016-2017 hockey season. Becker Arena Products was awarded the contact for the project and is scheduled to begin work in the next few weeks. We are asking for your support in completing this very important fundraising campaign, and would ask that you consider making a contribution. You can choose to sponsor a section of the new boards and glass or make a general contribution. Additional details for each type of contribution are included in this letter. Thank you for your consideration. As you know, the Colosseum is largely used by youth and high school hockey. You will also receive recognition on a master display commemorating the Capital Campaign that will hang in the lobby of the Colosseum.
