Cannoli Nachos
This recipe is great to take as a dessert to a trivia night, bunco, bridal or baby shower, potluck, brunch or any gathering! Everyone loves them! Ingredients
Directions
2 cups ricotta cheese (or one tub) 2/3 cup powdered sugar 1 tbl orange flavor 1 cup heavy cream
Mix the ricotta, powdered sugar and orange flavor. Set aside. Whip the heavy cream until peaks form. Fold in the ricotta mixture and ½ of the mini chocolate chips. Place in decorative bowl and add remaining mini chocolate chips, cherries, pistachio nuts and orange zest to the top.
½ package square wonton wrappers, cut diagonally into triangles Vegetable oil for frying (I use canola) 1 cup mini chocolate chips, semi-sweet ¾ cup pistachio nuts, chopped ¾ cup maraschino cherries, chopped 1 orange, zested For more recipes: oldtownspices.com
Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or heavy pan on the stovetop. Frying a few at a time, brown both sides of the wonton triangles and cool on a wire rack. Place the cooled “chips” around the bowl of cannoli mixture and dust powdered sugar over all of the chips. Serve and enjoy! Email:
