NEWSFLASH From EWGA Albany/Capital Region October 6, 2016 Save the Date: Annual Dinner on October 25 Signups will open soon for the Chapter's annual dinner and business mee걓�ng on Tuesday, October 25. This year's gathering takes place at Shaker Ridge Country Club and will honor volunteers, introduce new and returning Board members, recognize Member Milestones (5,10, 15, and 20 years), and offer plenty of opportuni걓�es for schmoozing. Chapter Events Director Emma Maceko is rounding up interes걓�ng vendors of food, adornment, and golf items, with a discounted rate for member exhibitors (contact her at nongolfac걓�vi걓�[email protected] for more informa걓�on).
Election Results: 201617 Board of Directors Julie Naglieri (right) joins the Chapter Board as Marke걓�ng Director, taking over from Emily Ekland. Re‐elected Board members include President Anne�e Kahler, Membership Recruitment DIrector Michele Endries, and Events & Ac걓�vi걓�es Director Emma Maceko. New terms begin November 1 and last two years except for the one‐year presidency. Remaining as directors for the second year of their terms are Natalia Bausbeck (Finance & Records), Stephanie Mumford Brown (Communica걓�ons), Tara Curley (Membership Services), and Liz Gaudet (Golf Programs & Services).
Final Putt: Results From the Last Golf Event of 2016 Nearly 50 women braved damp‐‐but not raining!‐‐weather to play in the Final Pu� at Saratoga Spa on October 2. In the League Challenge Division, the team from Capital Hills (net score 61.1) squeaked by the gang from Orchard Creek (63.5) to take home the imaginary cup along with real shoe bags and pro shop credits. The mid‐round selfie at right shows Cap Hills teammates (from le㉐�) Ka걓�e Vitello, Denise DeCarlo, Stephanie Brown, and Robin Raco. Orchard Creek's 2nd place roster included Mary Diefendorf, Janis Luce, Lori Murphy, and Alesia Wadsworth. Open Scramble Division honors went to the team of Mary Cowans, Mary Ann Keeler, and Gail Sundling with a gross score of 80.
