 Contact them directly to pick up players

 Players must be on the online roster to be legal players.  If a player is NOT on the score sheet because: 1. Joined after 3pm, or 2. Technical difficulty, or 3. Just got picked up by the team that night, then: They can be written-in. Score sheets and online rosters will then be compared 2 business days later at 5:00pm. (Once a player checksin for a team they are a member of that team) Write-ins from the score sheet that are NOT on the online roster by that time will be considered illegal players, and the match result will be changed to a forfeit. (Even if the game is won by forfeit).  Players cannot be deleted/removed from rosters by captains or players. Please contact IM office to do this. – Email/phone/inperson  Rosters are locked after your last regular season match.

 Game time is forfeit time  If one team has players present, but not enough to start a game, the prepared team has the following options: 1. Take the win by forfeit, OR 2. Give your opponent an additional 5 minutes to field an eligible team

 Forfeits count worse than losses  Sp. rating of 1

 2 FF = eliminated from playoffs

(and possibly from the league)

 Must contact IM office (email, phone, or in-person) by 12pm day of game (or Friday, for weekend games)  Worse than a loss in standings, but better than a FF  Sp. Rating of 2

3 = Above Average 2 = Average 1 = Below Average 0 = Unacceptable

Players will enter through the NW door, and be let in by an IM Official attending to the door (doors will not be unlocked) Players must arrive within 15 minutes (before or after) of their game’s start time Only IM participants are allowed in the IPF Only water allowed in turf (no food, gum, seeds, other drinks) Players are not allowed anywhere but the lobby and turf. Anyone found anywhere else will be ejected and suspended. Anyone kicking balls against walls or jumping on the wall padding will be ejected and suspended.

CSU INDOOR PRACTICE FACILITY “IPF”

REQUIRED:  Athletic, closed-toe, CLEAN shoes/cleats 1. Carry in turf shoes (these cannot be the shoes worn into the facility) 2. Check in and show turf shoes for inspection 3. Then change into turf shoes 4. Then enter turf

 NOT ALLOWED:  Outside shoes worn into the facility  Carried-in shoes that are not completely clean  Metal cleats

8 Players in the field Max roster size = 16 Minimum needed to play = 5 Open Division League  Any combination of men or women  Women runs = 2  Can kick up to 16 in kicking order  Can sub on defense at any time  Captains will designate kicking order with umpire prior to the start of the game.    

R-P-S gets choice: – Home or visitor – In playoffs, higher seed is home team Game length = 7 innings or 45 minutes No mercy rule Extra innings or time expires with game tied: Each new half-inning starts with:  1 out, and  Runner due up last at 2nd base Defensive Infield Restriction No more than 5 defensive players in front of “no bunt line” until ball has been kicked Offense can retake pitch or accept play result

 PITCHING & KICKING  At-bat = 2 pitches to own team  Pitcher must stay out of way and not interfere with ANY ball in play, even unintentionally  PENALTY: Dead ball, kicker is out, runners returned to bases  “Bunting” NOT allowed  Kicked ball UNTOUCHED by defense must completely cross the “no-bunt line” between 1B & 2B or between 2B & 3B.  No-bunt line is marked by cones and is 5 yards behind 1st, 2nd, and 3rd bases  PENALTY: Dead ball, kicker is out, runners returned to bases  If defense touches ball, there will be no bunt ruling

 RUNNING THE BASES  Sliding IS allowed at all bases  Runner is out like in softball, PLUS:  When struck below shoulders by a thrown or bounced or kicked ball while not in contact with a base  RUNNERS CAN RUN UNTIL THE UMPIRE CALLS “TIME” when a defender has the ball on the infield and all runners have stopped advancing  No leading off or stealing  No infield fly rule  Runners must completely avoid physically interfering with fielders who are fielding a kicked ball  PENALTY = Dead ball, runner is out  Injured runners can have sub runners. They will be the player who made the last out on offense, regardless of gender.

UNSPORTING OUT: 

Umpire can asses an out for unsporting conduct at any time –while a team is on offense or defense Unsporting outs can carry over from defense to offense 2 UNSPORTING OUTS BY A PLAYER = EJECTION 3 UNSPORTING OUTS BY A TEAM = FORFEIT

 Ejected player:  Must leave the IPF  Suspended from ALL IM’s minimum of 1 week  Must meet with IM Sports professional staff to discuss lifting suspension  Playoff ejection: Automatically suspended from remainder of that sport’s playoffs  Depending on severity of incident, Student Recreation Center membership/access may also be suspended

Safety base rules:  For any play at 1st base or home plate, runner must use ORANGE safety base, and defense must use WHITE  Exception (if the ball takes the defender into foul territory, they can use the orange, and the runner can use the white)

Schedules will be posted online after the end of regular season (emails will go out) Teams will play on different nights/times than they did in regular season Captains must notify IM Sports office BY EMAIL before end of regular season if there are team date/time/other IM sport possible conflicts to try to avoid during playoff scheduling.
