CARE-A-VANers ARE PEOPLE WHO: EnjoyVolunteering their skills, learning new skills, and serving others. Fellowship and recreation within a Christian group. Opportunities for learning to know Christians of various origins, environments, and ethnic heritages.
The TASK of VIM Our task is different from our purpose. The task is what we are to do with our abilities such as help in disaster emergencies, and building projects for churches and institutions in and beyond the Conference. Our task must always be secondary to our purpose of sharing Christ’s love in ways that make a difference. Task and purpose are closely related and both should be accomplished. Our guarantee: You will have more fun than doing those “Honey-Do” home projects.

Volunteers In Mission Passing on the love of God Through VIM is the greatest!
RV travel with a purpose. Provide their own transportation to a project and can be self-sufficient because some sites have limited services. Choose in which projects they wish to participate, and spend from one week to 10 days, depending on the project. We welcome Christians of other “Faith Families”.
Volunteers In Mission VIM helps local churches become more outreach minded VIM builds bridges between congregations and cultures VIM is a spiritual journey for volunteers VIM accomplishes tasks which otherwise might not be done VIM raises the moral of recipients in need
Offering people with recreational vehicles the opportunity to share their time and skills in designated mission projects
VIM teaches and provides experiences of stewardship of life and resources VIM is a positive addition, developing the personal habit of self-giving service

The CARE-A-VANers have been “on a roll” for mission. The group has worked on churches and camps across the conference, and welcomes others with RV’s to join them.
