Energizing

The World

Cameco is one of the world’s largest uranium producers and a leading supplier of nuclear fuel services for the generation of electricity. Cameco’s vision is to energize the world as the global leader of fuel supply for clearn-air nuclear power. Our mission is to bring the multiple benefits of nuclear energy to the world. Nuclear power is a safe, clean, reliable and affordable baseload energy source, and an important part of the energy mix. We’re seeing strong

growth in nuclear capacity in regions with fast growing populations and economies like China and India. Cameco has world-class assets including an extensive base of mineral reserves and resources and diversified sources of supply. These assets are complemented by participation in other parts of the nuclear fuel cycle, producing fuel and components for reactors around the world. Our strategy is to focus on our tier-one assets and profitably produce at a pace aligned with market signals in order to increase long-term shareholder value. We do so with an ever-present focus on safety, people and the environment.

SUPPLYING UTILITIES

Cameco is a world leader in low-cost uranium production. We provide about 18% of world mine production from our operations in Canada, the United States and Kazakhstan.

Cameco is a leading supplier of uranium processing services required to produce fuel for nuclear power generation.

Our wholly-owned subsidiary, NUKEM, is one of the world’s leading uranium market intermediaries.

Our operations and projects are diversified by geography and deposit type, backed up by extensive mineral reserves and resources. All of Cameco’s operations demonstrate the company’s high standards for safety, health and environmental performance.

Our fuel services division in Ontario operates the world’s largest commercial refinery, provides about 20% of the world UF6 conversion capacity, and is a leading manufacturer of fuel assemblies and reactor components for heavy water reactors.

Through NUKEM Inc in the US and NUKEM GmbH in Germany, we source uranium concentrates, conversion and enrichment services from long-standing supply partners and sell the material and services to blue-chip electric utilities to produce fuel for their commercial nuclear reactors.
