Today’s kids, tweens and teens are known as digital natives! They have never known a world without technology. They put Internet fame before Internet ethics and feel very differently about "privacy" than the adults in their lives. The growing Internet-driven gap seems to be provoking conflict between generations. Parents are concerned with keeping their children safe, unsure as to how to apply parenting skills to an unfamiliar medium. Lori Getz M.A., explains how to bridge the gap between this young generation of Internet users and their parents and teachers. Lori is an educator, mother, and Internet safety expert. She recently appeared on the Today Show and has lectured at dozens of schools (including Archer, Brawerman, Brentwood, Mirman, Oakwood, Turning Point, and Windward) and has spoken to thousands of Internet users. She is the author of "Safety Kid™ on the Net" (an early education Internet Safety program) and writes an Internet safety column for momlogic.com. Her insight comes from both her professional and personal life working with children, tweens and teens. Lori is a VBS Day School Alum.
