CHANGES TO DARCY STREET From 13 February 2017, work on Parramatta Square means there will be changes to how drivers and pedestrians navigate Darcy Street in the CBD.
F
or now, you can still use the footpath along Darcy Street to make your way into and out of the train station entrance, but expect this to close in coming months too as excavation gets under way on Walker Corporation’s commercial towers.
the Parramatta CBD – from Darcy Street or Westfield will use a new stop at 91 Macquarie Street, just before Centenary Square. The new bus stop is a 3-5 minute walk from the train station via Darcy Street and Centenary Square or a 2-3 minute walk from Westfield via Centenary Square.
COMMUTERS: The set-downpick-up zone for commuters on Darcy Street will no longer be available, but there are three other existing zones close by: • Fitzwilliam Street outside the railway station entrance • Valentine Avenue near Wentworth Street
Rail replacement buses and private shuttle buses, such as those operated by Wet’n’Wild, will use a new bus area on Smith Street near the public domain between Sydney Water and Western Sydney University.

be closed to all traffic until the completion of Parramatta Square in 2020.
A Western Sydney University shuttle bus stop is also located at 169 Macquarie Street outside the campus.
It is anticipated that at some time during 2017, Darcy Street will be completely closed to pedestrians as well as vehicles.

TAXIS: To grab a taxi, use the
normally catch Route 900 – the free loop shuttle bus around
existing ranks on Fitzwilliam Street and Valentine Avenue.
VEHICLES: Darcy Street will
PEDESTRIANS: Pedestrians can still use Darcy Street to make their way around the CBD and access to and from the train station will remain in the early parts of 2017.
