FREEDOM in Insect Management on Wheat and Barley Seed Vigorous, disease-free emergence is critical to getting the most out of wheat and barley. This is especially true when the crop faces pressure from disease and insects. Due to its seed safety and ability to protect the seed from disease, Charter F2 Fungicide Seed Treatment can contribute to that earlyseason advantage in emergence and growth. Axcess Insecticide Seed Treatment is available with Charter F2. The container ratio is 5.4 fl. oz of Charter F2 and 0.8 fl oz of Axcess per 100 lb of seed. Aphids
Target Crops for Charter F2 + Axcess: Wheat and Barley Charter F2 Formulation: Water based (0.12 lbs of triticonazole/ gallon plus 0.07 lbs of metalaxyl/gal). Axcess Formulation: Water based (5 lb of imidacloprid/gal) Charter F2 Use Rate: 5.4 fl oz/100 lb of seed Packaging: 2 X 2.5 gallon Charter F 2 + Axcess 2 x 46.5 fl oz (.363 gallon) Containers. FLEXIBILITY in Insect Management on Wheat and Barley Seed In contrast to premixed fungicide + insecticide combinations (such as Raxil® MD-W and Cruiser Maxx® Cereals), which will require the addition of an extra product (extra Gaucho® or Cruiser®, respectively) to protect seedlings from Hessian Fly or Aphids, flexibility to choose the level of insect protection is provided with the container quantities of Charter® F2 fungicide and Axcess™ insecticide. With the combination of Charter F2 and Axcess in the quantities provided, the seed treatment mix can be tailored to specific needs without the need for additional products to be ordered separately in large container sizes.
Axcess at 0.2 fl oz/100 lb seed offers suppression of wireworm activity on seed and young seedlings. For early season protection of seedlings against injury by aphids, use Axcess at a minimum of 0.8 fl oz/100 lb with Charter F2. Use the higher rate to provide increased length of protection and from heavy insect pressure and from wireworms Easy-to-use and easy-to-remember quantities and ratios of Charter F2 and Axcess providing tailor-made protection from insect damage or injury without the need for additional products.
