JOB DESCRIPTION: MHA Resources Company (MHA) is a privately-held company with wholly-owned subsidiaries P&C Construction, Ward-Henshaw Construction, and Baker York Equipment and Supply. MHA is seeking an energetic, collaborative, and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This person will become a key member of the management team to develop strategies, implement cost management and tracking systems, gather and analyze financial data, develop and oversee accounting, human resources (HR) and information technology (I/T) staff, and present financial information on a regular basis to stockholders. REQUIREMENTS: • Ten (10) or more years of experience in a financial management leadership position for a firm in the construction industry serving clients in the Pacific Northwest • Expertise in management of firms with wholly-owned subsidiaries • Ability to work on a full-time basis at MHA offices located in NW Portland QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS: • A minimum of a bachelor degree in an accounting and/or finance related field; a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred • Advanced knowledge in the utilization of construction-based accounting systems • Understanding of cash flow and investments to maximize short term and long-term profits • Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks • Ability to mentor and supervise accounting staff employed by multiple subsidiaries to deliver accurate and timely information to the management team • Expertise in the area of HR with a proven ability to implement and monitor processes and staff for companies with between 25 and 100 employees • Experience with examining, developing, reengineering, and recommending financial, human resources, and information technology policies and procedures • Ambitious self-starter who holds oneself accountable for performance • Meticulous and process oriented while being open to change and innovation COMPENSATION: Salary dependent on experience.
