June 1, 2016 Dear Neighbor, As you may know, June is Dog Licensing Month in the State of Connecticut. Pursuant to Section 22-337 through 22-359b of the Connecticut General Statutes, every dog must be licensed when it becomes six months old and then annually in June. Current year dog licenses must be obtained by June 30, 2016 or late fees will apply. You can license your dog in one of two ways: 1.
You can come to Derby City Hall any time between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
2. Or you can mail in your renewal or new license application. Please include: a. A self - addressed and stamped envelope so we may return your tag b. If renewal, your renewal notice c. If new, please complete the attached application and include proof of spaying or neutering d. Current Rabies Certificate e. Check or Money Order made payable to the City of Derby Send to: Dog License - Marc J. Garofalo, Town Clerk – 1 Elizabeth St, Derby, CT 06418 If you are no longer the owner of your dog, please notify our office via email at [email protected] so that we may update our records. If your dog has passed away during the last year, please accept our sincere condolences on your loss with thanks for being a responsible dog owner.
