COLORADO RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT: Applicants may be ineligible to apply for this position and subsequently disqualified if they do not have a Colorado address and a Colorado State issued Driver's License or Identification Card. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in a Management, Business Administration, Finance, Procurement, Law, Public Administration or a closely related field AND Three (3) years of professional work experience in purchasing/procurement. Substitutions: A combination of work experience in the occupational field or specialized subject area of the work assigned to the job, which provided the same kind, amount, and level of knowledge acquired in the required education, may be substituted on a yearforyear basis for the bachelor's degree. A master's or doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in Management, Business Administration, Finance, Procurement, Law, Public Administration or a closely related field may be substituted for the bachelor's degree and at the agency's discretion, one or two years of general experience respectively. Applicants using education as a substitution MUST attach unofficial transcripts to the application before the application deadline; applications requesting this substitution without transcripts will NOT be considered. Preferred Qualifications: In addition to minimum requirements the preferred applicant will possess: State, district, or local government purchasing experience Experience preparing and processing requisitions Bid process experience Vendor negotiation skills Professional designation such as CPPB or other professional purchasing certification DOR REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Competencies required for all DOR positions include good communications skills (both oral and written), interpersonal skills, the ability to follow written and oral instructions, the ability to multitask, the ability to work with confidential information, the ability to work in high stress environments, and the demonstrated ability to assist customers in an effective, efficient, and elegant manner. THE FOLLOWING ARE CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT WITH THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE: 1. All employees must be current with their Income Tax filings and payments with the State of Colorado. This includes successfully passing a preemployment evaluation of your tax records/accounts. 2. All DOR positions require successful completion of a background investigation prior to appointment. Background checks may include criminal, financial, traffic, civil, education, and/or experience checks or any other checks related to the assignment. Refusal to participate in the background check process will disqualify a person from employment with DOR.
