Coaches Volunteer Check List In an effort to help the coaches get everything done here is a list of volunteer positions you should delegate to the families of your players. 1: Volunteer Coordinator: -
Responsibilities: o Take this list and help you find volunteers to fill the below positions. o Manage the volunteer portion of your team web site.
2: Team Manager: -
Responsibilities: o Help Volunteer Coordinator. o Assign a snack family for each game (most common at the flag football level). o Assist in finding rides for players who need rides to practice and games. o Manage Team Web Site. Team pictures and schedules.
3: Fund Raiser Manager (Jerky Manager): -
Responsibilities: o Attend Fund Raiser Meeting. o Discuss the fund raiser with player’s families. o Distribute fund raiser paperwork to player’s families. o Collect fund raiser paperwork and money. o Turn-in paper work and money. o Pick-up and distribute Jerky.
4: Chain Gang Manager: -
Responsibilities: o Find volunteers to run the chain gang for each home game. o Give list to Volunteer Coordinator to post on team website.
5: Picture Manager: -
Responsibilities: o Hand out team picture paperwork. o Distribute pictures to players o Pick-up sample team poster and show it to the team and families.
6: Team Coaching Helper -
Responsibilities: o Must be Heads-Up certified to give instruction to players. (no certification needed to hold a blocking pad) o Multiple moms and dads would be great so you do not have to commit to every practice. Example: Dad1 signs up for Mondays, Mom2 for Wednesday. o Assist team coaches as needed.
7: Equipment Manager -
Responsibilities: o Assist players who need help with equipment. o Assist with decals on helmets. o Collect jersey and money to put player’s names on the jersey. Valley Sports is a great choice. Last year if you had the whole team at one time, it was $4.00 per jersey.
