Australian listed crowdfunding platform CoAssets Limited (“CoAssets” or the “Company”) (NSX code: CAX) is pleased to announce the appointment of two independent non-executive directors. Dr. Jeffrey Chi will join the board on 15 February 2016 while Mr Chew Siang Chee will commence with the Company on 1 March 2016.

Dr Chi is a veteran in the investment and start-up space in China and South East Asia. Some of his notable exits/partial exits include UUCUN (Trade Sale, China), Sunfun Info (IPO TT:5278, Taiwan), Cambridge Real Estate (IPO SGX: J91U.SI & Trade Sale, Singapore), Real Time Gaming Asia (Trade Sale, Singapore), TWG Tea (Trade Sale, Singapore) and Asian Food Channel (Trade Sale, Singapore). Mr Chew’s expertise in cross border currency transactions will be a great asset to CoAssets’ international expansion. He recently won Asia’s Best Treasurer at the Corporate Treasurer Marquee Awards 2015, following his capacity to improve companies’ finance and treasury operations in testing environments.

Dr. Chi also sits on the Engineering & Technology Management Departmental Consultative Committee at the National University of Singapore. Dr. Chi is a Chartered Financial Analyst holder, and graduated from Cambridge University with 1 st Class Honours in Engineering. He earned his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Organizational Knowledge and Information Technology. His experience spans a variety of industries including information technology, healthcare, and media. Dr. Chi is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Jing Jin Electric, Matchmove Entertainment, lumina Looque, Roomorama, Affordable Luxury Network, Spicy Horse, Play Peli, California Intercontinental University, Mobinex, Inc., Alo7.com, Chinaway, Lotaris and Tenfen Technology. About Mr. Chew Siang Chee Mr. Chew is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA Australia). He completed his Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting, Investment Finance and Corporate Finance at the University of Western Australia, as well as a 2nd Upper Honours in Finance. Mr. Chew is currently the Asia Treasurer of Mercuria Energy Trading S.A, and is responsible for all Treasury activities in Asia. Formerly the Treasury Manager of Noble Group, and before that the Treasury Advisor of Cargill, he has vast experience with providing foreign exchange risk management, as well as other financial advisory expertise.
