LAW 1 – THE FIELD OF PLAY  Our 11v11 tournament fields are approximately 110 yards in length by 80 yards in width. LAW II. – THE BALL  U10-U12 = Size 4  U13 = Size 5 LAW III. - NUMBER OF PLAYERS  The minimum number of players to start or continue a match is six (7).  There shall be unlimited substitutions for each team. Provided permission is sought and gained from the referee, substitutions may take place on any stoppage of play by either team. A player who has been sent-off may NOT be replaced by a substitute. A player who has been sent-off (red card) cannot play the remainder of the current game nor may he play in the next game. LAW IV. – PLAYER’S EQUIPMENT  All players must have shin guards. Casts, splints braces or other joint support devices are permitted if, in the sole opinion of the referee, they are not dangerous or are padded with pliable materials to eliminate the dangerous condition. Hair control devices with any hard parts may not be used. No watches or jewelry may be worn with the exception of medical medals or required religious medals, which must be taped inside the uniform. Earrings of any kind, regardless of covering, are not permitted. If a child chooses to get their ears pierced before or during the season, they may NOT practice or play in any games until such time that the child feels able to take the earrings out. Tape, hats or any other covering of the ears will not suffice to allow the child to play. The home team (listed first on the schedule) wears dark jerseys. Visitors wear light jerseys. Undergarments that extend below the game shorts, i.e. bicycle shorts, must be the same color as the uniform shorts and may not extend below the knees. At any time players are playing on the field, all shirts shall be tucked in and socks pulled up over the shin guards. During cold or inclement weather it should be remembered that the objective with respect to uniform color is to be able to determine who is on which team. It is likely that dark parkas vs. light parkas or red parkas vs. everything else would be acceptable, subject to the referee’s ruling. LAW V. – REFEREES Coaching is permitted providing: 1. It is from within the team area, which is one-yard back from the touch-line and 10 yards, either side of the half-way line. 2. It does not interfere with the game. 3. It is done in a responsible manner and is not dissent. 4. No electrical or mechanical devices are used. 5. The tone of the voice is positive and not a harangue. (Infringement of the Law shall be regarded as Ungentlemanly Conduct.) 6. Dissent with referees is not allowed by players, coaches nor spectators and maybe punished by banishment of 100 yards from field. LAW VII. - DURATION OF THE GAME  U11 through U13 2 x 30 minute halves 5 minute halftime  There will be no time-outs under any circumstances. Time may be extended only for the taking of a penalty-kick at the end of either half of play or to allow for time wasting or injury at the referee’s sole discretion.

DETERMINATION of GROUP WINNERS In group play, there will be no overtime games. Standings in a group will be determined by: Game Points  Win: 3 points  Tie: 1 points  Loss: 0 points In the event that two or more teams are tied in points at the end of the preliminary games, the following tie breakers shall be applied in the order given until a winner is determined: 1. Head to Head (if all teams played each other) 2. Goal Against 3. Goals Scored 4. Penalty Kick Shootouts (see below) PENALTY KICK SHOOTOUTS For any two teams that are tied in points and a winner needs to be declared, then a Penalty Kick Shootout needs to conducted to determine the winner. For those teams that this affects, please meet at the scores table and let a tournament staff member know that your needs to participate in a Shootout.  If both teams are present at that time, then the tournament will supply an open field and a Game Referee.  If both teams are not present, then a tournament staff member will contact both teams and schedule the Shootout time and location.  In the event a team cannot be reached and if a team does not show up to the communicated Shootout time, then that team will forfeit the Shootout and the winner will be the team that showed up. Procedure:  8v8 Penalty Kick Shootouts, kicks will be taken from the penalty kick mark defended by a Goal Keeper.  Teams, players and coaches need to stand at least 10 yards behind the player taking the kick; parents stand on the sidelines.  A coin toss will determine who shoots first and who is second. The team that won the coin toss determines if they want to kick first or second.  The ball must be clearly over the goal line for the goal to count.  One player from each team will alternate taking kicks; each player can only kick the ball once.  Teams take turn kicking from the penalty kick mark in an attempt to score a goal, until each team has taken 5 kicks. However, if one team has scored more goals than the other team can possibly get with their remaining players / kicks, the Shootout ends regardless of the number of remaining players.  Sudden Death: at the end of these 5 rounds and the score remains tied, then “Sudden Death” kicks are in effect. Rounds of 1 kick are used until there one side scores and the other does not.  No other players can take a second kick until ALL eligible players have had a chance to kick. PROTESTS There will be NO PROTESTS. All disputes will be resolved immediately by Tournament Director. These decisions will be final.
