Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club U4-U8 Staff Coach Location: Denver, CO Hours: Contract position Reports to: U4-U10 Director Job Summary: Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club runs various programming for young boys and girls ages 3-8. Through these sessions, we work to develop each individual’s technical ability on the ball, their decision making (individually and in small groups), and instill a passion for the game in each player. Staff coaches are encouraged to work in multiple programs. Programs: • Fab 4 – Introduction to soccer for 3-4 year olds o Conduct a 45-minute session for six weeks each season (fall and spring) o Three different Fab 4 programs: Tuesdays (Stapleton), Saturday mornings (Crestmoor & Stapleton) o Arrive 15 minutes early to set up field and equipment – you are responsible for setting up your own field o Follow the curriculum provided – focus is on coordination, basic soccer skills and fun • Premier Training – Skills clinic for U7-U8 players at Lowry Sports Park o Conduct two one-hour sessions back-to-back each Friday the program runs (six weeks – fall and spring) o Arrive 15 minutes early to set up field and equipment – you are responsible for setting up your own field o Follow the curriculum provided – focus is on technical skills, individual and small group decision making • Field Coordinators – U5-U8 game field staff o Assist parents and coaches with any questions they have regarding fields, schedules and rules o Monitor and address any issues or incidents at your designated field o Evaluate players during games • COMPASS – After school program in Aurora o Conduct sessions at Aurora Public Schools Mon-Thur from 3-5pm o Follow the curriculum provided – focus is on individual skills and fun games o Mentorship is a key component of coaching with our COMPASS program Requirements • Must be willing to teach our Colorado Rapids curriculum • Respond to phone and e-mail communication within 24 hours • Abide by organizational guidelines and policies • Attend required training sessions provided by Rapids Youth Soccer Qualifications: • Passion for teaching soccer to young players • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with staff, parents and players • Daily access to reliable transportation • USSF or NSCAA coaching license preferred • Must pass a background check Pay is competitive based on experience.
