OCLBASA Executive Committee

RESOLUTION

March 9,2015 WHEREAS, the Standing Committee on Nominations and Elections has reported a reluctance on

the part

of a number of candidates to run for the office of Chapter President due to the unusually long commitment that is requested, and, WHEREAS, the Executive Committee concurs that the requirement of a year as president Elect, two years as President, and two years as lmmediate Past President is, indeed, an unusually long commitment for similar volunteer organizations, and, WHEREAS, the Executive Committee is concerned that the simultaneous turnover of all three Chaoter Vice Presidents could be disruptive, and, WHEREAS, the Executive Committee concludes that the Annual Business Meeting would best be conducted at a time in the year that is closer to the end of the fiscal year and closer to the end of the terms for all offices for which elections are held on any given year,
