POST PRIMARY TRANSFER PROCEDURE 2015/16 – COMPLETION OF P7 TRANSFER FORM Dear Parent, Please find enclosed a copy of a Year 7 ‘Transfer Form’ (5 carbon copies) and DE Guidance for Parents on Completing a Transfer Form. During the next few weeks you will be nominating the secondary schools to which you would prefer your child to transfer. In the past an information booklet was sent out by the Education Authority (EA), which contained admissions criteria for all NI schools. This is no longer available however the relevant information can be accessed from the EA website at www.eani.org.uk/admissions or alternatively through our school website. www.hardymemorial.co.uk - About Us – Key Information – Admissions – Admission to Post Primary. I have selected the four main schools to which our pupils traditionally transfer and included their Admissions Criteria for you to peruse. Before stating the secondary school of your choice please read the accompanying leaflet:

You may nominate your preferred secondary schools in two ways:1. You may make an appointment with me to guide you in completion of the transfer form. IF YOU WISH TO DO THIS YOU SHOULD TELEPHONE THE SCHOOL THIS WEEK TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT DURING THE PERIOD 25th–28th January. 2. If you are sure which school you wish your child to transfer to and do not need advice you may complete the form yourself and return to school no later than, Friday 29th January. PLEASE READ ‘GUIDANCE FOR PARENTS COMPLETING A TRANSFER FORM,’ BEFORE COMPLETING.
NB: Parents of pupils who sat the AQE Transfer Tests should arrange an appointment between 1st and 3rd February, if possible, as you will then have your results to guide your decision.
Please note that to ensure all 5 copies of the carbon form can be easily read, it is important that you complete the top copy of the form using a black ball point pen and lean on a firm surface. Also when completed, parents/guardians should retain the ‘pink copy’ for your records and return the remaining copies to school.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING TRANSFER FORMS TO APPOINTMENT (if applicable) FOR COMPLETION Please check that all details given in Section A are correct. In particular, please check that your postcode is correct as delivery of placement letters may be subject to delay if they are missing or incorrect.
