Support the Ilan Rasooly, z"l, Playground Fund As we approach Ilan Rasooly's, z"l, first yahrtzeit, many KMS members have asked how they can help honor Ilan's memory. In response, the Rasooly family has asked KMS to create a Playground Fund to support maintenance and potential expansion of our playground. We are honored to help remember Ilan and are grateful to Rebekah, Avi, Irit, David, Tali, Jonathan and Leora for their support of KMS. Please click here to support this fund. Ilan was a much-loved member of the KMS community and we all continue to grieve his loss. May his neshama have an aliyah.
Yahrzeit Kibbud Notifications It is customary for men to receive an aliyah or other kibbud on the Shabbat before a Yahrzeit. As KMS has gotten larger, our Yahrzeit list has unfortunately grown as well, making it increasingly difficult for our Gabbaim to personally contact all individuals about receiving a kibbud. Therefore, we ask that all members who wish to receive a kibbud to please contact the appropriate minyan Gabbai to make arrangements, preferably at least a week in advance of the yahrzeit date. 7:00 Minyan - Jonathan Rosenberg,
[email protected] (301-681-9361) 8:00 Minyan - Jeff Adler,
[email protected] (301-681-4672) 8:45 Minyan and Mincha - Chaim Himmelfarb,
[email protected] (301-649-1559) If we cannot accommodate you at one minyan because of a previously scheduled simcha, we will try to accommodate you at another. This change will not affect the Yahrzeit notices you receive from the KMS office; you will continue to receive them well in advance of the Yahrzeit.
