Enrollment/Fee Policies Registration Cost: $200.00 (Registration Fee: $150.00 + 1-Day Retreat Fee: $50.00) Make checks payable to: Santiago YM Please write your child’s name and year of the Confirmation Program in the Memo. A copy (not the original) of the students baptismal certificate is required (Even if your child was baptized at Santiago De Compostela). New registrations won’t be accepted after: August 31,2016 / Fees are non-refundable after October 1st, 2016.
Brief Course Description All baptized high school students are eligible to participate in Confirmation Preparation. The Confirmation preparation program is two (2) consecutive years. There are seven (7) classes each year - your child may miss only two (2) classes which must be made up. Students are required to attend at least five (5) Faith Sharing events each year, and one retreat each year. Students must complete at least ten (10) Community Service Hours each year. The Confirmation ceremony will take place during the Easter season of your students second year.
One Day and Three Day Retreat Dates CI One Day Retreat: October 22nd, 2016 CII One Day Retreat: November 5th,2016 CI/CII Three Day Retreat: January 27 – January 29, 2017 - To reschedule a retreat with a refund, notification of the cancellation must be given one (1) month prior to the date of the retreat.
Orientation Information: First Year (Confirmation I) student/parent orientation date: September 13, 2016 (9/13/16) from 7:00 - 9:00p.m. in the Parish Hall Second Year (Confirmation II) student/parent orientation date: September 20, 2016 (9/20/16) from 7:00 - 9:00p.m. in the Parish Hall This meeting is to inform both the students and parents about the journey of our Confirmation program. This meeting is mandatory for both the student and their parents/guardians. Students and Parents will sign up and pay for the retreat they wish to attend. Please refer to the Retreat dates posted above.
The retreat fees are as follows: 1-Day Retreat is i$50 (included in the $200 registration fee)/3-Day Retreat is $150.00 ($300 with registration)
