Play+: Creating ties to education with respect, created by Instituto Promundo, uses the concept of play as a way to prevent violence against children and adolescents and promote a culture of peace through the education of children, based on affection, and dialogue. The act of playing helps children to develop, to formulate of concepts, and learn how to resolve conflicts. It is a key moment for the exchange of affection and trust between parents and children. On the other hand, the right to play as well addresses another essential right of childhood which is the right to access the street and city. In this sense, Promundo also plans to work to promote safe spaces not only at home, but on the street for children and adolescents . The campaign comes from the fruition of the "Dads and Daughters" project aimed to work with and engage 17 girls to reflect on how they would like to be educated by their fathers and as equals between boys and girls. To create the campaign, Promundo adopted a participatory methodology. Promundo and its project identified a representative of the target public through workshops in order to identify strategies and methods more suitable for a more effective dissemination of the Campaign's messages. Eight men from the favela community Morro dos Prazeres participated in two meetings to create the Campaign. The campaign is being disseminated in five communities in Rio de Janeiro: Guararapes, Maré, Cidade de Deus, Vidigal and Morro dos Prazeres.
