CONVERSE UNVEILS JACK PURCELL MODERN HTM Latest Release from Converse Modern Collection BOSTON, MASS. (September 7, 2016) Following the summer releases of the All Star Modern, Auckland Modern and Thunderbolt Modern, comes Converse’s latest drop: the Converse Jack Purcell Modern HTM. Whether on the feet of grass-court champions or upstart players of the Open era, Converse has been a part of tennis and its culture since the earliest days of the sport. To celebrate the brands heritage in sport and design, Converse has modernized the smiling court icon for the streets with new construction and inventive materials.
The Jack Purcell Modern HTM is a limited-edition sneaker designed by Nike’s legendary HTM team, featuring a premium full-grain leather upper for added comfort and a sleek, contemporary style. HTM represents the collaboration between fragment design founder Hiroshi Fujiwara, Nike Vice President of Creative Concepts Tinker Hatfield and NIKE, Inc. President & CEO Mark Parker. An acronym for the first initials of its three contributors, HTM explores new concepts in Nike design, often highlighting the latest technologies and hinting at future applications. The Converse Jack Purcell Modern HTM sneaker will be available on Thursday, September 8, 2016 for $180 USD, exclusively at NikeLab retail stores worldwide and NikeLab.com, in Black and White colorways.
