King’s-Edgehill School Custom Europe March 12 – 25, 2016 MAR 12 – DEPART CANADA We board our overnight flight to Berlin. MAR 13 – ARRIVE BERLIN (3 NIGHTS) We are met with a warm Welcome by our Travel Director and coach at the Berlin airport and transferred to our Belin hotel. This afternoon our Local Specialist guide will take us on an orientation tour through Berlin with a visit to Checkpoint Charlie. Later, a Welcome dinner with our fellow travelers and Travel Director to discuss the trip ahead! Meal(s): Welcome Dinner MAR 14 – BERLIN – SIGHTSEEING Today we delve deeper to explore Berlin further with an included visit to the Berlin Wall Museum starting the day. We enjoy a Cultural Insight with Lunch atop the Berlin TV Tower with superb views of the city and then experience a Berlin Street Art and Graffiti walking tour with another Local Specialist guide. Meal(s): Buffet breakfast, Lunch MAR 15 – BERLIN – HOP-ON HOP-OFF SIGHTSEEING & LEISURE Our included Hop-On Hop-Off sightseeing ticket gives us the opportunity to see more of Berlin today at our own pace. This evening we enjoy a regional dinner together. Meal(s): Buffet breakfast, Regional Dinner MAR 16 – BERLIN – DRESDEN PRAGUE (3 NIGHTS) After breakfast we board our coach and say ‘das Lebewohl’ to Berlin. We arrive in Dresden where our Local Specialist guide will reveal the city’s spires, towers and domes belonging to palaces, churches and stately buildings. We continue further south, cross into the Czech Republic and have an orientation tour on our arrival to Prague. Dinner together at our Prague hotel this evening. Meal(s): Buffet breakfast, Dinner
MAR 17 – PRAGUE - SIGHTSEEING & COOKING LESSON This morning our Local Specialist Guide will take us on a photography walking tour of Prague as we visit photogenic places, viewpoints and perhaps discover some unique hidden spots. Later, our included Cultural Insight takes us to a cooking school for a lesson and our self-prepared dinner is the result we can indulge in! Meal(s): Buffet breakfast, Cooking lesson with Dinner MAR 18 – PRAGUE – AT LEISURE – GHOST TOUR A day at leisure to explore Prague at our own pace. Tonight another Local Specialist guide takes us on a Ghost walking tour of the city. Meal(s): Buffet breakfast MAR 19 – PRAGUE - BRATISLAVA - BUDAPEST (3 NIGHTS) An early start as we continue our journey travelling through the Czech countryside and crossing into Slovakia. Our Local Specialist Guide takes us on a walking tour in Bratislava - the capital city which cradles the Danube River. Later we see the Cathedral and St. Tama’s Hill in Esztergom before arriving in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities Budapest, Hungary for our three nights stay. Dinner together at our Budapest hotel this evening. Meal(s): Buffet breakfast, Dinner MAR 20 - BUDAPEST SIGHTSEEING AND HUNGARIAN LESSONS Our Local Specialist guide takes us on a walking tour today and also gives us some Hungarian language lessons. We admire the city’s sights featuring stunning views over the river from the Fisherman’s Bastion. See Parliament, The Chain Bridge and the UNESCO designated Castle District. Meal(s)): Buffet breakfast MAR 21 – BUDAPEST SIGHTSEEING - STREET ART & COOKING LESSON Today’s Local Specialist guide will take us on a walk to view the city’s colourful Street Art. This afternoon an included
Cultural Insight as we become strudel makers at our cooking lesson together! Dinner at our hotel this evening. Meal(s): Buffet breakfast, Dinner MAR 22 – BUDAPEST - GYOR VIENNA (3 NIGHTS) Cross the Transdanubia region dotted with orchards and vineyards to Gyor. We visit this Roman town, which has retained much of its medieval and baroque charm. Cross into Austria and arrive in Vienna for orientation prior to our three night stay at the final stop on our journey. We dine together at our Vienna hotel this evening. Meal(s): Buffet breakfast, Dinner MAR 23 – VIENNA - SIGHTSEEING Our local Specialist guide takes us walking in Vienna this morning starting with a Cultural Insight in the food tour of Naschmarkt. We also see the Am Hof , Hofburg Palace and Schoenbrunn Palace. This evening, a special treat as we dine together in the ‘Vienna Woods’! Meal(s): Buffet breakfast, Regional Dinner MAR 24 – VIENNA - SIGHTSEEING An included visit to the Spanish Riding School this morning shows us the amazing Lipizzaner horses who train to perform in the Hofburg and worldwide. Later our Local Specialist guide takes us on a scrumptious walking tour of Vienna to sample a favourite treat - chocolate! tonight we celebrate our travels with a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant.
