ARTIST STATEMENT:

We cannot choose or change some aspects of our lives - like who are parents are or where we were born. There are some aspects that we feel we do not have the power to change, like the city we live in. We may be chained to it due to economical reasons etc. This is the case for me: I do not possess the power to leave Istanbul where I currently live. This is symbolized by the image showing a night view of Istanbul that I used in my project as the background. The original image was a photograph I took years ago. I used gimp to transform it to the night view I used in this project.

With all the constraints that restrain us, we still have a great freedom in choosing how we live. Every decision we make has to potential to create a turning point in our destiny. So click and drag your mouse to draw stars in the sky - these are the choices that make your life unique. You even have two color scheme alternatives. If you prefer a more colorful one, press "1". If you prefer a more cool alternative, press "2". You are also provided with an opportunity you may not have in real life: Press Backspace or Delete to start all over again:)
