You Need: Tom Pattern (CTH# 8117) Creative Grids 22.5 degree Ruler (CTH#5606902) OR Template Plastic (CTH#88267005) 8 ½” square of background material 5” WOF of material for border 1/8 yard material for Inner Feathers 1/8 yard material for Middle Feathers ¼ yard material for Outer Feathers 10” Square for body 2 ½ “Square of each color for eyes*, beak and wattle (black, yellow, red) *optional mini buttons ¼ yard Lite Steam a Seam 2 (CTH#5440) 1/3 yard Tear Easy Stabilizer (CTH#751) Pre-Class Work: Read through your pattern. If comfortable, please cut out all your pieces; either using the Creative Grids Ruler, or tracing the shapes onto template plastic and cutting them out. When cutting out the Turkey body, eyes*, wattle and beak trace the outline of your pieces onto your Steam a Seam Lite, iron onto the back (wrong side) of your material. Also bring the following: Machine in good working order with a new 80/12 Universal Needle, also Topstitch 90/14 ¼” Foot and an Open Toe foot for your machine Rotary Cutter with new sharp blade, Small Cutting Mat Small travel iron (optional, but nice to have!) with small ironing pad Scissors, Pins, Seam ripper Point turner (CTH#5602114) Thread –neutral color for piecing and you will be topstitching so you can either match or contrast your appliqué Thank You for coming to class prepared!!!
