VACANCY

CRICKET OPERATIONS OFFICER

The International Cricket Council (‘ICC’) is the global governing body for the sport, which administers all aspects of international cricket. We are currently seeking a Cricket Operations Officer in our Cricket Operations department, based at our headquarters in Dubai, UAE. The purpose of this role is to manage the day-to day operations of the ICC’s AntiDoping and Medical programme, implementation of the Illegal Bowling Action Regulations and support other ongoing projects within the Cricket Operations department. Principal Accountabilities Responsibilities of the Cricket Operations Officer include but are not limited to the following: Anti-Doping & Medical (2/3 of role) 

Manage day-to-day operations associated with the ICC drug testing programme which includes whereabouts;



Develop education resources and provide high level of support and education to players;



Develop and maintain relationships with key anti-doping stakeholders;



Support Anti-Doping manager in development of contracts and budgets and management of results; and



Provide support on medical related projects

Cricket Operations (1/3 of role) 

Manage and implement projects within the cricket operations department.

Knowledge, Skills, Attitude and Experience 

A Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated experience of 2 to 3 years in project management and business administration;



Demonstrated ability to read and interpret medical and legal documents is an advantage;



A good understanding and passion for the game of cricket is essential;



Understanding of or interest in doping issues in sport is an advantage;



Sound project management skills and strong attention to detail;



Ability to work with stakeholders from different backgrounds across cultural and national identities;



Self-motivated with a high work ethic;



Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including ability to deliver presentations in public; and



Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.

Conditions of employment 

The position has dual reporting lines to the Medical and Anti-Doping Manager and Senior Cricket Operations Manager;



The role involves regular working hours while recognising the need to be flexible, at times;



There will be a reasonable amount of international travel required as part of this role, especially around major ICC events, for illegal bowling testing and/ or in general to gain Anti-doping experience and knowledge;
