2018 Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) Packet ATTN: Parents/ Students This cover letter is for informational purposes and IS NOT a notification of school closure. AMI packets are designed to provide learning opportunities on days where school has been cancelled for reasons outside of the control of the Crossett School District (i.e. weather). The use of these packets and online activities at home will allow us to count any days of closure as school days, so they will not have to be made up. The following guidelines will help in using the packets properly and not getting overloaded.
Use table of contents to choose 1 or 2 activities per section. Do this for each day school is dismissed Teachers will be available via email from 9-11 a.m. and 12-2p.m. Students will sign-out the packets w/ the teachers Returned packets will be used to count attendance for AMI days
Notifications for school closure will be decided upon and announced by the Superintendent and communicated to the public by the normal means with the inclusion of “AMI day” (i.e. Facebook, Website, School Messenger Call). Please keep these packets until a notification of school closure is given, and return them based on the instructions from the notification.
